Dominical Vacation RentalsThe complete guide of vacation rentals in the Dominical Costa Rica area. There was a time in the not-too-distant past when a vacation rental in Dominical was not even a consideration. A rustic cabina up on the front ridge with screaming ocean views – yes - or a funky beach front bungalow, but a vacation rental…? Things have changed over the last few years here, and they have done so rapidly. Not only has the concept of renting a house in Dominical caught on, it has done so with a vengeance, and this with good reason. Groups of surfers come here and can rent a 3 or 4 bedroom home for say, $2,000 a week, (6 nights). That puts the nightly rate at right around $100 per bedroom, plus you've got a full kitchen, private baths, and very likely a pool. The savings in not having to eat out every night and having a quiet place to get rested up from the day's surfing or tourism activities is compelling. The type of tourists here has also changed. Well, the same surfer base is still here, but it has diversified. Dominical isn't just a surfer town anymore. There are families, nature loving couples, older retirees and others coming here now. In many cases these folks are better served with a vacation rental home. This isn't to say that the days of the funky beach bungalow are gone, you'll still find them here. But the area is growing up in its infrastructure, access, and activities. It isn't hard for a family to fill a week with planned activities: canopy zip line tours, horseback waterfall tours, a visit to Costa Rica's largest reptile facility, whale watching in Uvita, hiking, sunset viewing, and probably more family conversation time than usual. This is a strange Costa Rica phenomenon that has been reported by couples and families here almost universally. Take a few minutes and peruse the vacation rentals listed here. You'll likely find one that suits whatever your interest may be in visiting Dominical Costa Rica. |
