A Wonderful Display of Hand Selected Art Objects From All Around Costa Rica and the rest of the globe.

I suppose one could use the term "souvenirs" in their effort to describe Banana Bay. But if this causes you to think of a typical souvenir shop full of nick knacks and trinkets, you are not getting the right impression. Banana Bay offers the finest in the southern zone of Costa Rica, and arguably in the whole country. You'll fine hand printed shirts, wood carvings, tropical ceramics, Guatemalan hammocks, fine paper gift bags, relief wall objects, jewelry and whatever else you might be able to imagine.

It is obvious that the shop's owner / buyer delights in her work. I deduced this from my visit to the shop and then was later able to confirm by speaking with her. Cindy, the shop's owner, lights up and revels in the opportunity to discuss the joys of searching for the next new gem for her shop as she travels the globe. She has been able to develop some wonderful relationships with indigenous artisans in various parts of Latin America and elsewhere that enable her to present the finest in home decor, art objects, and gifts.

Banana Bay is located in the Plaza Pacifica, just across the coastal highway from Dominical.
