Nauyaca Waterfall
These majestic waterfalls are one of the main attractions of the southern region in Costa Rica, not only for their natural scenic beauty, which offers the tourist moments of recreation and fun, but also to participate in different activities such as horseback riding tours, swimming, climbing, jumping and to observe much of the beauty of the tropical rainforest, among others. Horseback riding tour: Over a 12 kilometer route with three resting periods, departing from our office, passing by Don Lulo’s house, where you will have a delicious and typical Costa Rican breakfast.
The horse back riding takes approximately from 45 minutes to one hour up to "Don Lulo’s house". After breakfast and observing animals in the family’s mini-zoo, the ride continues on for 25 minutes until arriving at the waterfalls. You may swim in the natural pools the waterfalls have formed.
On the way back we stop once again at "Don Lulo’s house" to enjoy a delicious and also typical Costa Rican lunch. After a well-earned rest on the hammocks and a delicious cup of coffee, we begin the return trip to our starting point. The horse back ride in Costa Rica offered by Nauyaca Waterfalls is one of the best experiences that a tourist can find and enjoy in our country.
Important information on the horseback ride
- The tour is from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- The hose back ride takes approximately 2 ½ hours with three resting periods.
- It includes: horseback tour, experienced guides, breakfast, lunch, entrance to the waterfalls, raincoats during the rainy season and safe parking.
- Closed on Sundays and special dates.
- We operate year-round.
- Limited space.
- Reservations must be made in advance.
- We have tame horses for all ages.
- We preferred cash in dollars or colones.
- The price is $50.00 per person, or its equivalent in colones, please pay in cash.
- We offer transportation from Playa Dominical and surrounding places, with an additional cost, depending on where it is.
- The maximum weight is 230 lb or 105 kg
