The house is 2,200 sq. feet. It has one master bedroom (sleeps 2), a large, spacious and wonderful upstairs loft (sleeps 2-6) making it a perfect home for a couple or a family. The house includes 2 1/2 baths. Two full baths upstairs and 1/2 bath downstairs.The downstairs open floorplan includes a dining room, living room, covered patio, fully stocked kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, laundry room with washer and dryer, and the one 1/2 bath.
The rental also includes a sweet casita with a two burner kitchen (pots, pans, cookware, utensils, refrigerator/freezer) queen size bed and bath room with it's own private front patio. With the casita included, the house sleeps 4-10 guests. I will send you a separate e-mail including pictures of the casita.The beautiful designed open floor plan, tall ceilings, large windows and glass doors in every direction and the beautiful woodwork by local artists gives a vacationer the full Costa Rica experience in luxury and comfort.
The jungle frames the property and gives it complete privacy. The amazing views and animal life is enjoyed from every part of the house, infinity pool and large balcony.The spiral staitway is the heart of the home.The steps are made of teak, the railing is made of Mangrove and Bejuco Vine.The ceiling is made of woven grass mats by the local Mayan indians. All materials used to build this home, including the furniture is Costa Rican (except the dining room chairs), even the tile used for the downstairs floor is Costa Rican made. The lumber used for the upstairs teak floors is locally grown.
Most of it is crafted either on site or in or around Uvita, supporting the local business.The upstairs three couches fold down to beds that each sleeps 1-2 people. A full bath ( the frog bathroom) is available for guests occupying the loft.
There is a Blue Rey TV and DVD player as well as I-Pod speakers. After a day of relaxing, activities or during a rainy evening, the loft is the perfect place to snuggle up and play fun board games, read one of many books provided, listen to music, watch a DVD or drink a glass of wine/beer in good company. From the upstairs loft you have a birds eye view of the jungle. There is a desk with spectacular views of the jungle for the busy folks and WiFi will be available shortly.The infinity pool is close to the house and includes a table, four chairs and a rancho style umbrella, adding to the ultimate vacation
